Biographical/Historical:     James M. and Ann Paschal Conyers married on December 18, 1853, in Franklinton, North Carolina. James Conyers served as a private in Company E, Regiment 15 of the Confederate States Army. He was also a Mason with Franklinton Lodge 123. He died in May 1862 in Richmond, Virginia. His son, Jefferson Davis Conyers, later moved to Tallahassee, Florida, where he is buried.

Summary:     This collection consists of one 18"x 22" charcoal portrait of James M. and Ann Paschal Conyers. The print was produced over an albumen print that was made in Franklinton, North Carolina, on the couple's wedding day.
