Summary:     The series consists primarily of pre-election campaign treasurer's reports filed under the provisions of Ch. 28156 of the Florida Statutes.  Each candidate for the state legislature or state or national office was required to file campaign reports including a list of contributors with addresses and amounts contributed, and a list of expenditures detailing goods or services purchased, their purpose, who provided them, and the amount of the expenditure.
    Records from 1952 to 1976 are on paper; later records, known as "candidate campaign reports," are on microfilm.  The microfilm includes appointments of campaign treasurers and designations of campaign fund depositories providing candidates name; address; telephone number; date; political party; office sought; name of treasurer; address; signature of candidate; and signed acceptance of appointment by treasurer.
