Biographical/Historical:     Greynolds Park is a 249-acre Miami-Dade County park located in North Miami on the bank of the Oleta River. Once the site of a limestone quarry, land owner A.O. Greynolds donated the land to the county parks department in 1936. That same year, Company 1421 of the Civilian Conservation Corps transformed the area into a picnic and recreation park complete with planted trees and grass, designed trails, human-made lake, and a 42-foot hill constructed out of piled, unused machinery covered with dirt and grass.

Summary:     This collection contains two photographs and one photographic postcard. One photograph is of a train depot in Pittsburg (Polk County), Florida, in 1897. The other photograph is of a hog killing on a farm in Perry (Taylor County), Florida, taken in 1936. The postcard is an image of Greynolds Park in the 1930s. The images have notes written on the back by the donor.
