The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The Bureau of Archives and Records Management was created in 1969 (Ch. 69-106, Laws) during the reorganization of state government in Florida.  The Bureau was part of the Division of Archives, History, and Records Management from 1969 to 1986.  The Bureau administeres both the Florida State Archives and the Florida State Records Center.  In 1986, the Bureau was transferred to the Division of Library and Information Services.
Summary:     This series contains the subject files of the Bureau of Archives and Records Management from 1969 to 1976.  It contains primarily articles, clippings, and press releases, correspondence, and information on professional organizations relating the archives and records management.
