	Biographical/Historical:	The Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services is charged with the administration of laws in the fields of agriculture and consumer protection. Doyle Conner was first elected to the Office of Commissioner in 1960, and served in that capacity until 1990. Due to the importance of the office, coupled with Doyle Conner's long service in that position, the Commissioner was sought after to give speeches and attend various political, social and special interest meetings. Doyle Conner's service in Florida government began in 1950 when he was elected to Florida's House of Representatives. During this time, Conner was a sophomore at the University of Florida working towards his Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture. Before completion of his degree, Conner was re-elected for a second term to the House of Representatives. He was first elected as Commissioner of Agriculture in 1960, and was re-elected for the next seven elections.
	Summary:	This series documents Commissioner Conner's attendance and participation in various political, social and special interest meetings between 1986 and 1989. Meetings included the Democratic Leadership Council, Legislative Appreciation Day, Florida State Fairs, University of Florida's Homecoming, and various local groups. Included are invitations, speeches, itineraries, correspondence and miscellaneous materials related to the various meetings.
