The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The Board of Archives and History replaced the State Board of Antiquities in 1967 (Ch. 67-50, Laws).  The Board controlled the Divisions of Archives and Records Management, Historic Sites and Properties, Historical Museums, and Publications.  The Board's duties were administered by an Executive Director.  The Board became the Division of Archives, History, and Records Management under the Department of State in 1969 (Ch. 69-106, Laws).
Summary:     This series consists of the records of the Board of Archives and History from 1963 to 1969.  The records include agenda, memoranda, budget analyses, newspaper clippings, and correspondence concerning archives, records management, museums, and historic sites.
