Summary:     This series consists of the final orders, and their supporting documents (which may include memoranda, facsimiles, correspondence, hearing transcripts, etc.), issued by the Division of Cultural Affairs in regard to cases being heard on appeal by administrative hearings officers of the Dept. of State.  These cases are appealing staff decisions taken to exclude certain applicants from consideration for the public funding of various cultural entities in the state.  The orders set forth the requirements for successful consideration, the applicant's shortcomings, and the decision of the hearing officer as to whether or not those shortcomings bar the applicant from the funding process.  The bulk of this series is from 1992, with fewer cases from 1993, only administrative hearing correspondence for 1994, and one case for 1995.
