The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Summary:     This series contains the calls for special elections in Florida from 1936 to 1968.  The special elections were held to fill vacant public offices on the county, state, and national levels.  The series also includes the official paperwork of candidates for these offices, such as applications for candidacy and statements of campaign expenses.  In some instances the files do not contain special election material, but rather paperwork to the Secretary of State about registering as an official candidate or party.  These files generally concern third parties in presidential elections.
