Biographical/Historical:     The Mechanics' Lien Law Study Commission was created by the Legislature in 1989 (Ch. 89-370, Laws).  The Commission was staffed by the Executive Office of the Governor.  The Commission was charged with reviewing the Mechanics' Lien Law and making recommendations, including proposed legislation, in a final report to the Governor and the Legislature.
Summary:     This series consists of the records, 1989-1990, of the Mechanics' Lien Law Study Commission.  The records include lien laws from other states, legislative drafts and background materials, press releases, meeting agenda, and photocopies of related articles.  The final report of the Commission is not contained in the series.
