The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Summary:     This series contains the subject files maintained by the Assistant Secretaries of State, Dave McNamara (who served under Bruce A. Smathers) for 1975, Ron Levitt (who served under George Firestone) for 1979-1980, and Rich Heffly (who served Sandra B. Mortham) for 1994-1998.  The series includes correspondence, memoranda, reports, rules, and regulations documenting a variety of issues of concern to the Secretary of State as department head and cabinet member, such as elections, library services, historical and cultural resources, environmental issues, labor issues, and public employee relations.  Included are minutes from 1975 of the Miami River Restoration Commission.
