Biographical/Historical:     Thomas Burton Adams, Jr. was born March 11, 1917.  After a career in real estate managment and agriculture, Adams entered politics and was first elected to the Florida Senate in 1956.  In 1960 Adams was elected Secretary of State of Florida.  He served as Secretary of State until elected as Lieutenant Governor in 1971.
Summary:     The series contains official photographs of Secretary of State Tom Adams, documenting his term of office and the functions he carried out from 1961 to 1971.  People in the photographs have not been identified.  The collection contains slides, 16 mm. film, and other materials.  Some photographs are accompanied by notes and/or negatives.
