	Summary:	This series contains the official copies of cabinet meeting records filed in the Secretary of State's Office during the years in which that office was a Cabinet position and the Secretary was the designated keeper of Cabinet records. After January 2002, when a Constitutional amendment removed the Secretary of State from the cabinet, the Executive Office of the Governor maintained these records. The records in this series reflect the official functions of the Cabinet as the administrator of various state agencies, boards, and commissions. Among these are the State Board of Education, Administration Commission, Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund, State Board of Administration, Budget Commission, Pardon Board, Canal Authority, Information Resource Commission, Marine Fisheries Commission, and the Departments of Environmental Regulation, General Services, Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, Law Enforcement, Natural Resources, and Revenue. The types of records in this series include transcripts of the Cabinet meetings, agendas, and supporting material. All Cabinet meetings were recorded and transcribed except from January 1983 to June 1986, when the meetings were recorded but not transcribed. The audio recordings received from the Department of State that coincide with Series S184 are located in Series S1394: Cabinet meeting audio recordings, 1966-2002. The audio recordings received from the Governor's Office that coincide with Series S184 are located in Series S2416: Cabinet meeting audio recordings, 1997-2009. Currently only Cabinet agendas and supporting documents are available for the years 2017-2018.
