The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The Florida Task Force on Competition and Consumer Choices in Health Care was established in September of 1982 (Ch. 82-182 Laws).  It was created to examine federal, state, and private health care policies and systems.  Its focus was on how to provide high quality, cost efficient health care with emphasis on market price and service competition as a means of disciplining the costs of health care.  The Task Force was dissolved in 1984.
Summary:     The series contains the subject and meeting files of the Task Force that relate to its efforts to explore the health care environment and provide a new framework to improve its quality and reduce its costs.  Records include correspondence, meeting files, minutes, and audiotapes of Task Force meetings.
