	Biographical/Historical:	Dorothy "Dot" Lee Hamilton grew up in Ludlow, Kentucky. She married Richard "Rich" William Page in the late 1940s, and they later moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Their son Ricky was born in 1955, and their daughter Jan Lee in 1957. In the late 1950s and early 1960s the Pages lived in Germany and Japan as Dorothy worked for overseas military officials. Returning to Fort Lauderdale, Dorothy began a career in sales with Builders Specialties, Inc. in 1965, retiring in 1997 after 32 years with the firm. Dorothy was active in community affairs, volunteer work, and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fort Lauderdale. After her son Ricky took his own life with a handgun in December 1974 at age 19, she began taking an interest in gun legislation and became a vocal advocate of handgun control laws. She remains active in Fort Lauderdale community affairs.
	Summary:	This collection contains letters, newsletters, photographs, and other items documenting the life, career, and activities of Dorothy Lee Hamilton Page. Included are photographs of Page and her family and friends in Fort Lauderdale, overseas, and at her 25-year anniversary celebration at her place of work, Builders Specialties, Inc. There are also letters and addresses regarding gun control; correspondence and bulletins regarding the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fort Lauderdale; newsletters and photographs relating to her involvement in M.A.R.C. (Model A Restorers Club); and correspondence and certificates relating to other community activities.
