The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The Division of Budget was created in 1972 (Ch. 72-295, Laws) within the Department of Administration, assuming part of the duties of the Division of Planning and Budget, which had been created in 1969 (Ch. 69-106, Laws) to succeed the State Planning and Budget Commission. The Division submitted the annual Executive Budget to the Legislature, administered the approved operating budgets of each state agency, and provided state agencies with management consulting services. The Division was dissolved in 1979 (Ch. 79-190, Laws).
Summary:     This series contains the data gathered by the Bureau of Management Improvement for studies on the management and efficiency of state agencies and institutions. The records include information from studies conducted between 1970 and 1979.
