Summary:     The collection contains the typed manuscript of Mary Margaret Pichard Rhode's "From Mission Bells to Cathedral Chimes," her history of the Catholic Church in North Central Florida. The manuscript covers the period from the exploration of Narvaez around 1528 to the beginning of the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee in 1976. It includes biographies of priests and other prominent church members, as well as photographs of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church throughout its history. Also included are miscellaneous programs, bulletins, and news clippings documenting the dedication of the new Blessed Sacrament Church in 1983, the welcome ceremony for Bishop J. Keith Symons in 1983, and a history of the Mission of St. Stephen the Protomartyr in Woodville, dated 1979.
