	Biographical/Historical:	The United Nations named 1975 International Women's Year, and established the International Women's Decade from 1975 to 1985. To promote U.S. involvement, President Jimmy Carter created the National Commission on the Observance of International Women's Year, which scheduled a National Conference to occur in November 1977. In preparation, state and local organizations held their own events. In July 1977, the first Florida Women's Conference was held in Orlando to recognize women's contributions, identify the barriers they faced, and report the concerns of Florida women to the National Commission during the National Conference.
	Summary:	The collection contains a promotional film from the Florida Women's Conference, held in Orlando July 15, 15, and 17, 1977. The film contains footage of events and interviews with women in attendance at the meeting. Much of it deals with a rift at the meeting between those for the Equal Rights Amendment and those against it. TWMFE-TV, Orlando, produced the film.
