Biographical/Historical:     Leigh Morgan Pearsall was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1874 and lived for most of his life in Westfield, New Jersey. In 1956, he moved to Melrose in Alachua County, Florida, where he had often visited during his life. Pearsall was an avid photographer.
Summary:     The collection consists of 284 glass plate negatives of scenes from New Jersey and Melrose (Alachua County), Florida. The Florida images depict country life in the state and emphasize citrus produce. Also included are prints made from some of the negatives.
