Biographical/Historical:     In 1975, traveling CBS News bicentennial historian Charles Kuralt won a Peabody Award for his weekly television series "On the Road to '76" in which he traveled to each of the fifty states to highlight historical places and events. Kuralt wrote, narrated and directed the series.
Summary:     This collection consists of a copy of Charles Kuralt's "On the Road to '76 in Florida," a five-minute color documentary film that concerns the history of Florida's colonization by various nations and concludes with a brief statement about tourism. Scenes include Forts Caroline and Matanzas, St. Augustine, and various waterways and beaches.
