The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     In 1881, a small group of female college graduates founded The American Association of University Women (AAUW), now a non-profit organization composed of women graduates of regionally accredited colleges, universities and community junior colleges. Its mission is to advance gender equity for women and girls through research, education and advocacy. AAUW has a nationwide network of ten regional groups, 51 state groups and 1,000 local branches, 35 of which are in Florida. It often allies with other organizations in support of women's issues, such as the Equal Rights Amendment.
Summary:     This group photograph commemorates the March 1975 meeting of the Miami branch of the American Association of University Women and other pro-ERA organizations. Most of the participants are wearing ERA buttons and some are holding signs in support of the amendment. The photograph is in color.
