The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     James Hunter Williams was the eleventh Lieutenant Governor to serve Florida.  After service in the U. S. Air Force he entered the family agriculture and mining businesses in Georgia and Florida.  He was first elected to the Florida Senate in 1968.  Williams was elected Lieutenant Governor 1974 during Governor Askew's second administration.  The Governor also appointed Williams as Secretary of the Dept. of Administration.
Summary:     The series contains files trips and events attended by Williams while serving as Lieutenant Governor from 1974 to 1978.  Record types include letters of invitation, letters of acceptance, memoranda, and related correspondence.
