Biographical/Historical:     Suwannee County was created by an act of the Legislature of Florida on December 21, 1858 (Chap. 895, Laws).  It was created from a portion of Columbia County.  The Clerk of the Circuit Court in each county serves as the official custodian of deed, marriage, and probate records.
Summary:     This series consists of a microfilm copy of the miscellaneous circuit court records for Suwannee County, Florida from 1898 to 1955.  The series contains contracts, agreements, property sales, letters of patent, wills, licenses and powers of attorney as well as an assortment of other documents.
