Summary:     This series consists of the records of adminstrators from Hernando County, Florida from 1878 to 1936.  The series contains letters of administration (1884-1929), administrators bond records (1884-1929), and records of administrators accounts (1878-1936). Adminstration records concern people who died intestate--having no valid will and thus no provisions for their estate.  These records document the appointment by the court of an adminstrator for such an estate.  Administrators were required to submit accounts of the estate to the court.  Those accounts detail the holdings of the estate, funds expended to date, and the current value of the estate.
