Biographical/Historical:     Hendry County was created by an act (Ch. 9360, Laws) of the State Legislature on May 11, 1923.  Hendry was originally part of Lee County.  The Clerk of the Circuit Court in each county serves as the official custodian of deed, marriage, and probate records.
Summary:     The series consists of a microfilm copy of the marriage records of Hendry County, Florida from 1923 to 1951.  The record book documents when the couple applied for the marriage license, when they were married, and who performed the ceremony.  The volume contains an index.
