Biographical/Historical:     Palm Beach County was formed from the northern portion of Dade County by an act of the State Legislature in 1909 (Ch. 5970, Laws). In 1915, Broward County was created in part from portions of southern Palm Beach County (Ch. 6934, Laws), and in 1925, Martin County was created in part from portions of northern Palm Beach County (Ch. 10180, Laws).  The Clerk of the Circuit Court in each county serves as the official custodian of deed, marriage, and probate records.
Summary:     This series consists of a microfilm copy of the marriage license records of Palm Beach County, Florida, from 1909 to 1926.  Marriage license record books consist of the recorded copies of marriage licenses.  They document when a couple applied for the marriage license, when they were married, and who performed the ceremony. The books are indexed by both brides' and grooms' names.
