Biographical/Historical:     Okaloosa County was created in 1915 by an act of the State Legislature (Ch. 6937, Laws).  It was formed from the eastern portion of Santa Rosa County and the western portion of Walton County.  The Clerk of the Circuit Court in each county serves as the official custodian of deed, marriage, and probate records.
Summary:     This series consists of a microfilm copy of the marriage record books of Okaloosa County, Florida, from 1915 to 1931.  Marriage record books contain the recorded copies of marriage licenses.  They document when a couple applied for the marriage license, when they were married, and who performed the ceremony.  Each volume contains an index to grooms.
