The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     Lake County was created by an act of the State Legislature on May 7, 1887 (Chap. 3771, Laws).  It was formed from Sumter and Orange Counties.  The Clerk of the Circuit Court in each county serves as the official custodian of deed, marriage, and probate records.
Summary:     This series contains a microfilm copy of indexes to deed records for Lake County, Florida from 1887 to 1927.  The records include grantee and grantor indexes to deeds.
