Biographical/Historical:     Collier County was created by an act (Ch. 9362, Laws) of the State Legislature on May 8, 1923.  It was created from a portion of Lee County.  The Clerk of the Circuit Court in each county serves as the official custodian of deed, marriage, and probate records.
Summary:     The series consists of a microfilm copy of the marriage records of Collier County, Florida from 1923 to 1945. The records contain marriage licenses which document when the couple applied for the marriage license, when they were married, and who performed the ceremony.  The records are indexed by both names.
