Summary:     The series consists of a microfilm copy of the marriage records of Bay County, Florida from 1913 to 1951.  The records include record books and loose marriage licenses.  The record books (1913-1951) document when the couple applied for the marriage license, when they got married, and who performed the ceremony.  All of the record books contain indexes.
The loose marriage licenses (1913-1936) are printed documents which the couple took to the individual who performed the wedding ceremony.  After 1919, a affidavit is attached to each license which states the age of age of the couple at the time of application.  If either of the couple was underage, the bottom portion of the form, the consent affidavit, was filled out by the parent or guardian giving permission for the marriage to take place.  After the wedding ceremony was performed, the couple returned the license to the clerk of the court.  The loose marriage licenses are not indexed.
