The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce established the Greater Tampa Bicentennial Council in 1972 to organize bicentennial projects and grants for the Tampa and Hillsborough County area to celebrate the American Revolution Bicentennial in 1976.
Summary:     This series contains subject files from 1973 to 1976 maintained by the Greater Tampa Bicentennial Council of Tampa and Hillsborough County, Florida.  The records document the work of the Council to share in the nation's celebration of the bicentennial, such as its participation in the American Bowl and the city's own Fourth of July celebration. The records include correspondence, brochures, press releases, contracts, and photographs.
