	Terms Governing Use:
	Biographical/Historical:	The City of Tallahassee in Leon County, Florida was incorporated in 1825 with a City Council and Mayor to govern. In 1919, a Commission-Manager form of municipal government was adopted (Ch. 8374, Laws, 1919).
	Summary:	This collection contains records of the City of Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida for the years 1885 to 1965. The collection reflects the work of Tallahassee government officials, particularly in the early 1900's. The documents consist of election material, financial materials, and records of the City Auditor, the City Clerk, the City Council/City Commission, the Board of Public Works, the City Manager, and the Consolidation Study Commission. The types of records present include maps, blueprints, correspondence, photographs, budgets, insurance policies, and reports.
