The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The Interim Committee on Urban Affairs was created (HCR 3011, 1967) in 1967.  The committee was directed to study the increasing population changes from rural to urban areas and its impact on housing, transportation, recreation and law enforcement.  The committee was abolished after reporting its findings to the legislature in 1969.
Summary:     This series documents the committee's review of urban affairs issues in areas such as welfare, housing, government organization, transportation, recreation and law enforcement. The records include reports, newspaper clippings, minutes, proposed legislation, press releases and correspondence.
