Biographical/Historical:     In 1988, the House Committee on Regulated Industries (1988-present) became a standing committee with a permanent staff under the provisions of Ch. 68-35, Laws.  The Committee reviews legislation on pari-mutuel wagering; the lottery; and alcoholic beverage, tobacco, and hospitality industries.  These functions had previously been part of the responsibilities of the House Committee on Regulated Industries and Licensing (1974-1988).
Summary:     This series contains the records of the House Committee on Regulated Industries.  The tapes document committee andsubcommittee meetings and contain discussions on legislation on pari-mutuel wagering; the lottery; and the alcoholic beverage, tobacco, and hospitality industries.  The tapes are not transcribed or indexed.
