	Biographical/Historical:	In 1980, the House Select Committee on Reapportionment (1980-1982) was established under the provisions of Ch. 69-52, Laws. The Florida Constitution requires that the state legislature redraw the boundaries of its voting districts after each decennial census (Article III, Section 16, 1968 Constitution). This Committee reviewed reapportionment legislation for the 1980 census.
	Summary:	This series contains audiotaped and some videotaped recordings of the House Select Committee on Reapportionment from 1981 to 1982. The tapes document committee and subcommittee meetings and contain discussion on legislation on the redrawing of the boundaries of the election districts based on the 1980 census. The tapes are not transcribed or indexed. The videotapes have been duplicated and the duplicates have been placed in the committee boxes. The original videotapes have been removed and are stored separately.
