The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     In 1972, the House Committee on Governmental Operations became a standing committee with a permanent staff under the provisions of Ch. 68-35, Laws. The committee reviews legislation on local and state government organization and operations. It assumed the functions of the House Committee on Governmental Organization and Efficiency.
Summary:     This series contains recordings of House Committee on Governmental Operations (1973-2000, 2005-2006), Select Committee on Streamlining Governmental Relations (1995-1996), Select Committee on Agency Rules (1993-1994), and Privatization Workshop (1995) meetings. The recordings contain discussion on legislation pertaining to state government organization and operations, administrative agencies, state office buildings, and open government sunset reviews.
