The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     In 1978, the House Committee on Education, K-12 (1979-1988, 1997-2000) became a standing committee with a permanent staff under the provisions of Ch. 68-35, Laws. The Committee reviewed legislation on public schools, school management, organization, teacher training, certification, school finance, equal educational opportunity, and vocational education.
Summary:     This series contains recordings of House Education and Employment Committee (2021-2022), Education Committee (2011-2018), PreK-12 Policy Committee (2009-2010), PreK-12 Committee (2005-2006), Education K-20 Committee (2003-2004), Education K-12 Committee (1979-1988, 1997-2000), Select Committee on Transforming Florida Schools (1999) and Select Committee on Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Implementation (2005) meetings. The recordings contain discussion on legislation on public schools, school management, organization, teacher training, certification, school finance, equal educational opportunity, and vocational education.
