The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     In 1968, the House Committee on Appropriations (1968-present) became a standing committee with a permanent staff under the provisions of Ch. 68-35, Laws. The Committee develops the annual appropriations bill for the financing of the state government. It also reviews legislation pertaining to appropriations, budgets, and government spending issues.
Summary:     This series contains the records of the House Committee on Appropriations (1977-1997, 2002-2023), the Select Committee on Educational Facilities (1997), and the Fiscal Responsibility Council (1997). Some Appropriations Conference Committees are included within this series. The records document legislation on appropriations, budgets, and government spending issues.
