The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     In 1976, the Senate Committee on Corrections, Probation, and Parole (1976-present) became a standing committee with a permanent staff under the provisions of Ch. 68-35, Laws.  The Committee reviews legislation on the correctional system, parole, probation, executive clemency, prison construction, and the prison industries programs.  Prior to 1976, the functions of this committee were carried out by the Committee on Health and Rehabilitative Services.
Summary: This series contains audiotaped recordings of the Senate Committee on Corrections, Probation, and Parole from 1976. The tapes document committee and subcommittee meetings and contain discussion on legislation on the correctional system, parole, probation, executive clemency, prison construction, and the prison industries programs.  The tapes are not transcribed or indexed.
