The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     In 1968, the Senate Committee on Transportation became a standing committee with a permanent staff under the provisions of Ch. 68-35, Laws. The Committee reviews legislation on transportation, highways, and traffic safety.
Summary:     This series contains recordings of Committee on Transportation (1969-2018, 2021-2023), Select Committee on Advanced Right-of-Way Acquisition (1987-1988), Select Committee on Local Government Infrastructure Funding and Impact Fees (1988), Select Committee on Transportation Funding (1988) meetings. The records include bill files, meeting files, and subject files and document discussion on legislation related to air travel, airports, shipping, ports, motor vehicles, mass transit, public transportation, state and local highway systems, traffic safety, and traffic regulations.
