Summary:     The collection contains the applications by physicians, surgeons, osteopaths, chiropractics, naturopaths, and midwives for certification and registration to practice the healing arts from 1927-1955.  Also included are applications for masseurs and chiropodists for the years 1944-1947 and 1951-1958 and physical therapist applications for 1952-1955.  Information contained on the applications includes full name, business and residential addresses, sex, race, date and place of birth, length of Florida residency, former addresses, county of residence, and date of application.
