The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The Office of Manpower Planning was created in 1975 (Ch. 75-210, Laws) to assume the manpower planning duties performed by the Dept. of Community Affairs.  Its duties were transferred to the Dept. of Labor and Employment Security in 1979 (Ch. 79-261, Laws).  It implemented the programs of the federal Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA) at the state level.
Summary:     This series contains minutes, agenda, and accompanying material of meetings sponsored by the Office of Manpower Planning and various other boards and councils involved in manpower planning and occupational training from 1969 to 1979.  It primarily documents discussion and decisions made about the disbursement of federal Comprehensive Employment and Training Act funds.
