Biographical/Historical:
Summary:     This series contains two homestead contest docket and financial ledgers, dated 1887-1891, maintained by the State Land Office.  The records document the payments made and claims filed for title for homestead lands.  Volume 1 lists the date of payment, the amount paid, the entry of the homestead exemption, the name of the homesteading party, the date of filing, and remarks regarding the final decision on the land.  Volume 2 lists financial summaries of accounts for the various claimants and funds.
