	Terms Governing Use:
	Biographical/Historical:	The Board of Parks and Historic Memorials was created in 1949 (Ch. 25353, Laws) to administer and control the operation and development of the state parks and historic sites of Florida. It assumed the duties of the Florida Park Service (1935, Ch. 17025, Laws). In 1969, its functions were transferred to the Division of Recreation and Parks, Dept. of Natural Resources (Ch. 69-106, Laws).
	Summary:	This series contains the construction files for the Board of Parks and Historic Memorials from 1954 to 1961. The records include specifications for construction, public bids, blueprints, and correspondence relating to the construction of various facilities within state parks.
