The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Summary:     This series contains the subject files of the Education Coordinator of the Governor's Office from 1968 to 1979.  The Education Coordinator handled most of the education issues concerning the Governor's Office.  The Coordinator and the section provided liaison between the Governor's Office, the Dept. of Education, other state agencies, county agencies, and the federal government.
    This series is a combination of the subject files of those who served as Education Coordinator.  The series includes the records of Dr. William Malloy, Dr. Claud Anderson, Huette Higgs, and Dr. Marshall Harris, special assistant.  Most of the major issues concerning education during the Askew terms are covered in these records.  The major record types that may be found include correspondence, reports, budgets, and publications.  Some of the records date from Governor Kirk's administration.
