Summary:     This series contains Governor Askew's executive clemency meeting files of the State Board of Pardons from 1971-1975, and its successor agency, the Office of Executive Clemency, from 1976-1978. The meetings were held in order to decide pardons and clemency. Governor Askew and his Cabinet were responsible for making the decisions.  The records in the series include correspondence, recommendations, agenda, minutes, and personal files.
