The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Summary:     The series contains the university site selection records maintained by the Board of Control (1956-1964) and the Board of Regents (1965-1966).  It relates mainly to construction of a East Central Florida university (Florida Institute of Technology), the University of South Florida, and the University of West Florida. Types of records include correspondence, maps, photos, studies, reports, newspaper clippings, working papers, blueprints, and aerial photographs.
