State Archives of Florida Online Catalog

The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. 	Biographical/Historical Note:	The Florida Public Service Commission Nominating Council was created in 1978 (Ch. 78-426, Laws of Florida) with the mission of recommending at least three candidates for each vacancy on the Florida Public Service Commission. The Council consists of nine members: three members, including one Representative, appointed by the Speaker of the House; three members, including one Senator, appointed by the President of the Senate; and three members elected by the other six council members.
