The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical Note:     The Division of Health was created in 1969 (Ch. 69-106, Laws of Florida) as part of the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services.  It assumed the duties of the State Board of Health.  The Division administered programs providing health services to the public; studied state health problems; and made and enforced rules and regulations for the preservation of public health.  The Division was abolished in 1975 (Ch. 75-48, Laws) and most of its functions were transferred to the Health Program Office of the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services.
