The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical Note:     The Florida Radar Commission was created in 1980 (Ch. 80-276, Laws of Florida) to establish minimum design criteria for all radar used by law enforcement officials in the state.  The Commission was directed to make an in-depth study of police radar; to make its recommendations to the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles; and to issue a report of its findings to the Legislature no later than January 31, 1981.  The Commission was dissolved in August 1982.
