The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Description: Barbara Palmer was born in 1948 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and moved to Tallahassee as a youth. She graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor's degree in 1970 and a Master's degree in 1974, returning to FSU just three years later as the Director of Women's Intercollegiate Athletics. Palmer lobbied extensively for the legislation of Title IX. Palmer was inducted into the Florida Women's Hall of Fame in 1982, the organization's inaugural year, and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators in 2007.
